Certain chemicals require the use of special tank types. This can be due to operational needs resulting from such factors as the laws that apply in the region of use, density of the cargo, or safety procedures that regulate the shipper or receiver’s plant.
GE SeaCo can provide the complete range of tank types that, together with its broad experience and high levels of service, enable all applications to be met. GE SeaCo personnel are able to assist customers in selecting the right tank from its extensive fleet. In addition, the company is able to design and adapt existing units, or build new tanks, to meet specific requirements.
For corrosive chemicals that are not compatible with stainless steel, GE SeaCo provides a range of tanks lined with rubber, baked phenolic or flouro-polymer linings. Such chemicals include fluids with high chloride content and certain acids.
