Summary of T Codes

Portable tank instructions specify the provisions applicable to a tank container when used for the transport of specific hazardous substances. The T codes T1 to T22 specify the minimum test pressure and the minimum shell thickness of the tank vessel (which is referred in mm reference steel), and the pressure relief valve and bottom-opening provisions.

Please refer to ADR or IMDG code chapters 4.2 for details full details of the T Codes, and for detailed provisions for individual substances.
